A Class all about Curls
We love education and what better way to immerse our clientele than a hands on class all about curls. If you ever feel lost when it comes to product knowledge and choosing what’s right for you. The team at Curl Evolution partnered with Deva Curl this past Wednesday evening to bring our guests Curls Night Out. Similar to our quarterly Curl Evolution Curly Night but with all things Deva. Our energetic and charismatic host for the evening was Meg a long time curl stylist and educator for Deva Curl. She showcased many new looks and solutions for common curly girl problems.
Hot topics of conversation were detangling knots, choosing products, toweling & turbaning vs diffusing, sleeping, creating definition on curls, using leave in conditioners and how to best moisturize curls. Solutions for bed head and next day hair was a top priority for our curly girls. With temperatures dropping the need for great looking curls on non wash days becomes priority. Many guest were surprised at even having an option for having 3rd 4th and even 5th day hair! Meg was rocking 5th day hair and her curls were still soft and defined.
Identifying where to place goomee (elastic stretchy band that doesn’t dent curl) during sleep to keep optimum curl.
Devas Set it Free was used to stretch the root on already dried curls with a dryer to elongate and volumize
Swavy curls became more defined with Devas Delight Line of Cleansers and Conditioners for volume followed with New Wave Maker to define waves. Deva Towel was used to draw out moisture and add lift at the root in the shape of a turban prior to diffusing
Devas Super Cream was our hero here. The top priority was frizz control followed with definition of curl. Deva Decadence’s ultra moisturizing cleansers and conditioners helped form curls prior to the application of Super Cream.
With Devas new packaging has it simplified a curly girls choices when choosing product. Each product is now clearly identify on the bottle exactly what you can expect.
